Make watermelon juice.

We bought a giant watermelon on sale and stared at it for an entire week, totally intimidated by its girth, before tackling cutting it into pieces. We froze chunks of it on a sheet pan so the pieces wouldn’t stick together, which took up all the remaining space in our freezer, before deciding to see what happened if we tried to juice some of it.

We tossed a quarter of it in our non-Vitamix blender, hit the pulse/blend/liquefy buttons at random, added a little water and a squeeze of lemon juice. It turned out a bit chunky but very refreshing, with a nice foamy-creamy layer on top. I was a little worried about it going bad quickly, but the two of us drank the whole thing in one day. Now I know what to do with the other half.
